New Direction Community COGIC – Friday-Sunday, July 1-3, the church will host their first Sons and Daughters of the former New Gethsemane COGIC Reunion. The celebration begins on Friday at 6:00 p.m. for a meet and greet. At 12:00 noon on Saturday, a picnic will be held at Cahuilla Park in Claremont; at 6:00

p.m. a 100-voice alumni choir concert led by former senior Minister of Music, Pastor Alvin Fruga. On Sunday at 3:30 p.m. a concluding service. The church is located at 1100 East Holt Blvd., Pomona. For more details call (909) 732-7539.

Greater New Jerusalem COGIC – Friday-Monday, July 1-4, the church will be selling safe fireworks at the corner of Baseline and “G” Street in San Bernardino; proceeds support the church activities. The church is located at 1424 West 21st Street, San Bernardino.

Temple Missionary Baptist – Tuesday-Thursday, July 5-7, a Summer Revival featuring Evangelist Manuel Scott Jr. as guest speaker. Services are held at 7:00 each night. On Sunday, July 17, the church honors Pastor Raymond W. Turner for his 20 years of service. The celebration for Pastor Turner and his wife Cheryl will be held at 4:00 p.m. Guest speaker will be Pastor Larry Weaver of Atherton Baptist Church in Hawthorne. Agape Family Life CenterFriday-Saturday, July 22-23, the second annual Single Women’s Conference will be held with a Hawaiian Luau theme.
